Just as the Seasons…
Fall is here 🍂🍁. Quite frankly I’m a summer girl through and through, but I can still respect the change of seasons to fall. Something about my favorite fall fit (tights, cardigan, and Uggs), that extra hour of sleep, beautiful leaves changing colors, and the thought of my mama cooking a lovely Thanksgiving meal just warms my soul☺️! But on the flip side there are so many things that I’m really going to miss from summer such as wearing less clothes, warm summer nights, beach days, and eating crabs!
Just as seasons change, so does the seasons of life. Life changes can be hard. Right now you mostly know what to expect from life. You’ve been in this place for a while so you can manage the daily emotions that come with each passing day. Your feelings have been nice and stable, you’re happy and sustaining. Then here comes the Lord throwing a monkey wrench in life and flipping it upside producing uncomfortable situations that require you to make adjustments to your way of thinking, your character, or just everyday life! At least the season’s give us a little heads up! We know that September 23rd it’s the first day of fall so eventually some cool weather is on the way! But life’s season changes just bust down the door ready for war! 😂
Changes have the potential to throw you completely off your square but unfortunately, it’s a life necessity. If we want to grow, then we have to be prepared for the life changes just as the leaves have to endure photosynthesis that produces their color change. My pastor always says there are 5 seasons: Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall, and DUE Season. Due season is a special period of time when we shall receive that which rightfully belongs to us. If you know the seasons of your life are changing, you can find peace in knowing that Due season is on the way.
Just as we prepare for Season changes like buying warmer or cooler clothes we should be getting ready for Life changes as well because they will happen. Stay prayed up, stay in your word, and get prepared for the better that is coming! Due season is on the way and it’s worth it.
