There’s Grace….

Our church started the year out in a 24 day consecration. Each day was a devotional as well as a fast. Of course ready to start  the new year off on the right foot I’m ecstatic to get started. First day of fast I wake up read my Bible and start the day with prayer and get the Meatless Monday going. Praying and reading scriptures all day and I could honestly say it was a perfect day!

Of course in true fashion something happens and throws the whole day off. And I would like to say it was the enemy but in this season of life I’m not giving the devil any credit for things that the Lord allows to happen. Something happens and I get totally out of character. Half Hood, Half Holy Ratchet Kie made a reappearance and it got real bad! After the dust has settled and high emotions have stabilized all I could do was cry because I couldn’t believe I let someone get me out of character and mess up the high of the day and distract me from my greater that was in store.

After confiding in one of my good friends about how I was so disappointed in myself because I totally got out of character he encouraged me in a major way by saying “Don’t beat yourself up about this just know there’s Grace for this!” And honestly that’s all I have for you today is no matter what happens, or if you get distracted, or even if you gotta get ignorant with someone and regret it just know that the Lord provides NEW GRACE every single day.

Be encouraged, stay the course, keep the faith and bask in the fact that his grace is forever sufficient for you!
